FutureFeature

[FutureFeature]

As the year is ending many people make their predictions for 2005. I too love to think about the future. In this spirit, FutureFeature.com is my new web site all about what you want the future to bring us. If you ever said to yourself “I want the next Nokia hand phone to play streaming movies” or “They should make Indiana Jones 4 with Harrison Ford digging in Egypt” or “Barack Obama should be President in 2008”, FutureFeature can help you clear your mind and be a meeting place (for regular visitors or those arriving from search engines). While the best way to predict the future is to invent it, as Alan Kay puts it, FutureFeature is all about focussing on what to invent. You are welcome to give it a try by posting comments to existing items or sending in suggestions for new ones.

Google Hacking (Book)

Google Hacking for Penetration Testers [affiliate] is a new book by Johnny Long showing how to find security holes in web sites by using Google. From the editorial review at Amazon:

Borrowing the techniques pioneered by malicious “Google hackers,” this book aims to show security practitioners how to properly protect clients from this often overlooked and dangerous form of information leakage.”
