A Son Named Google

Swedish Walid Elias Kai from Sweden, a Ph.D. in search engine marketing, is a big fan of Google. So big, in fact, that he named his son “Oliver Google Kai.” If that wouldn’t be enough, in Lebanese tradition both parents now have a name related to their son; Abou Google and Emm Google (Google’s father, and Google’s mother). Dr. Kai in a letter to Google writes:

When we first knew that my wife Carol is pregnant, I said, “we will name our child Google.” Everyone laughed and did not take me seriously. My brother said, “Yeah, name the next one yahoo fuji nikon.”

Karen Wickre from the official Google Blog wishes Oliver Google a “long life and good health, and hope his schoolmates aren’t too hard on him.”

Of course, like every modern baby these days, Google Kai has a blog. I wonder if Google Kai’s first words will be Google... and if he’ll be wearing a Google shirt, too.

On a related note, not too long ago, another baby was reported to have been named “Yahoo”... but it turned out that was a hoax.
