Tiananmen Square Massacre Documentary

Frontline explores the story behind “the tank man,” an incredibly brave protester who confronted the Chinese military on Tiananmen Square in 1989. The image of this man made it around the world as an icon of freedom... it’s the same image Google this year agreed to censor in its Chinese image search. Charles Cole, a photojournalist who watched the events, says, “During this time, I was thinking: this guy is gonna be killed any moment now. And if he is, I just can’t miss this. This is something that he’s giving his life for.”

PBS has more on this documentary. [Via Digg.]
