Google Maps Europe Now Detailed

As predicted by French Google blogger TomHTML, DPNeal and others recently, Google Maps is now available with detailed maps (and directions) for countries in Europe. Just a day ago you’d see nothing but the country borders for e.g. Germany in the default map view – now you can see information down to the street level. (I’ve had problems connecting to Google Maps... are they swamped by traffic today?)
