A guy took it upon himself to translate Milan Kundera’s novel “L’Identité” (Identity) into Czech as there was no such translation available so far, and in early June published the results with Google’s Blogger at totoznost.blogspot.com – in a single blog post, nonetheless (see Yahoo’s cache). Google then received a copyright infringement takedown notice from a Czech agency representing Milan Kundera*, and from what it looks like now, shut down the blog. The PDF of the translation was still available on a Russian domain at this time.
[Thanks Gary.]
*Quote from the letter: “According to Article 8 of Berne Convention, authors of literary works shall enjoy the exclusive right of making and of authorising the translation of their works.”
