Conceptually, the whole idea of Linux may have been developed in the early 19th century. But the actual work, might have begun in the 70's. As they were computers readily available to work on. :)

Yeah 11/9, when I was at school our history teacher had made a poster saying "How did 9/11/2001 change the world" ....and I'm in the UK

I don't see why the Americans make such a big fuss about the 9th November :D
