Do you all remember this post...?

http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2007-09-04-n51.html

Well, the option to login to GDrive using a Google Apps account is back:

e.g. ruscoe.net – GDrive (Service not available):
https://www.google.com/a/ruscoe.net/Login?service=www10

e.g. google.com – Login:
https://www.google.com/a/google.com/Login?service=www10

Could this mean we're any closer at all?

Would anyone like to put money on an April 1st launch? ;-)

I don't think there's any harm in getting excited about April 1st once again :-)

We got excited last year, and we got nothing except jokes.

Don't forget Gmail was launched on April 1st ;)

I completely agree with Jared, I think it will be the same this year...

I think we'll see Google Drive this year, but I hope it won't be available only in Google Apps.

It would be making sense to launch it as Google Apps only in the 1st time:
-would enable migration towards a paying edition
-would avoid all the "Google looks at all your files OMG!!!!"
-the ads would come as more justified and better accepted should a generic version come later

I am hearing that platypus is going to be launched. This will be Goog's entry into the Enterprise space. Locked it in with Gmail , Apps ,Mini and Jotspot .. tis like a practical enterprise suite of services that within a DMZ!!

That must be what Scoble was on about earlier:

Tony, your correct-- the chatter is around that this a big strategy move of Hardware+services . It will be an interesting move.. to see what exactly is the new value pipeline that is forthcoming.

I just checked the login page now and the page has the title "Future Product", did it always say that or has that changed?

That's changed pretty recently I think. Maybe they're not going to go with the "GDrive" name anymore.

Did anyone pick up on this strange post by Dave Winer ... "Google is
doing something interesting". Odd but worth a read.

The 1st April is rapidly approaching ...

Voice has also reappeared:

e.g. ruscoe.net – Voice (Service not available):
https://www.google.com/a/ruscoe.net/Login?service=voice
e.g. google.com – Login:
https://www.google.com/a/google.com/Login?service=voice

Could this be a GrandCentral integration for businesses?

(Also, the references to YouTube in the CSS have been changed to Apps Video recently.)

I guess we'll have to wait then. I'm really disappointed I must say.
