<<Comsenz provides technology used to support a number of Chinese online bulletin boards, blogs and Web sites.>>
The link reading "English" on their site seems to be dead, though: http://www.comsenz.com |
They started out by selling forum software called Discuz! (PHP + MySQL, there's a Wikipedia entry on it) to sites but a few years ago they changed the software to freeware for personal use, commercial use still needs to buy the software for 300 RMB and generate revenue by providing support, much like WordPress/Automattic.
At around the same time they expanded to blogging & portal & e-commerce softwares.
A large number of Chinese forums runs on Discuz!. The site says 500K. |
I like Wordpress more, Wordpress can be hacked to be BBS too.
But, if Philipp Lensson open his code for blog. I will change to Philipp's at once. |
