<<Microsoft Corp. says it is talking to Yahoo Inc. about a transaction that won't involve a full buyout.>>
Wish the article would go into more detail on what it is they're talking about then... |
At this stage in the acquisition/ partnership process it is difficult to speculate either way, but, by *apparently* not proposing to take YHOO over lock, stock, and barrel, M$FT may be doing a smart thing – they acquire a sizeable interest in one of the few major Internet-centric companies, and one that is far better suited for change than their own, by now highly entropic, Windowshit-infested campus "culture." Just a thought expressed in mere 67-word sentence (81 including this self-referential tally). |

<<Wish the article would go into more detail on what it is they're talking about then...>> My guess is taking over Yahoo! Search Advertising in return for $$$ in cash for Yahoo!.
Microsoft is really trying to push its advertising platform and this is exactly what it needs to get it going. |
