Hebbet, was there any mention of this on the first-referenced source page earlier? (it isn't now). Here's Google Translate version of the second pointer @bild.de:
Google will film until further no roads and buildings for the Internet "StreetView" more. After significant protests in Germany decided to Google to send the world no more cars with cameras through the streets, a Google spokesman confirmed the "Stuttgarter Nachrichten. Google had admitted last week to have your private data from open Internet radio networks. "We have made a mistake, which we deeply regret and for which we apologize. We have become not just the trust of users and do everything possible to win again. "Responsible for Google Hamburg Supervisor John Caspar assume that the cars drive again until they are converted and no data from wireless networks more can receive.

BTW, Google cars aren't stopped worldwide. I've tweeted on @Zorgloob about a man in Lyon (France) who saw yesterday a Google Car in his city, the car was taking pics obviously. |
