I was actually reading their Maps documentation today and saw that they have Geocoding now. When did this happen?

Arghh!! It seems that the Geocoding support includes everywhere except the UK, I haven't been able to make any UK address work.

Ah, yeah "The Maps API geocoder is available in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and United States of America."

In the API there are three arguments used for the point, one at the moment is always set to 0. Could this be inplace for a future elevation feature in google maps? now that would set it apart from the competition.

The KML stuff is super sweet...

Earthquakes during the last 7 days:

Avian flu flew outbreaks:

dpneal, I was just noticing the same...it would be awesome to mark 3D locations...maybe if you are using KML this will already happen in Google Earth?

Also, in their talk of geocode caching in the documentation, they indicate there is some kind of daily quota you can use caching to avoid. But I can't find an explicit max number of requests allowed anywhere...anyone know what the limit is?

Image overlays don't work in Google Maps, FYI

Is there a way to use one of the KML-Files and search for a location? URL and Cityname behind in the searchbox doesn't work.

Is there a way to use more then one addition at the same time?
