I don't get it. The Avian Flu thing is cool, but how do we see other maps using that thing?

There are more layers in the Google Earth forums:

Although I think Google could do a better job of exposing / organizing these.

Nice! ... i started immediatly to search & overlay all the .kmz files...
simple query " filetype:kmz inurl:kmz " , copy and paste the urls in the google maps form and... voilà ... overlay!
example:
fifa wordcup stadium locations
maps.google.com/maps?f=q&h ...
note: some "big" files gives an error (like Acropolis form sketckup site) download.sketchup.com/download ...
"file too big to display"

Acropolis probably has 3d information in it, not really suitable for google maps.
