No More World Cup Results on Google? (View post)Sam Davyson | Tuesday, June 20, 2006 18 years ago • 7,569 views |
Yes, it seems they are gone. How odd.
As an aside: I think England are playing in Stuttgart next Sunday. |

can anyone confirm if the offical google mod is also feeding update information.. for the last 2 days I have been busy and not been active online-- is that broken too ? |

No that seems to be working okay but very slow. When I had a look after the England game it was still saying 48 minutes and that the score was 1-1. (the final score was 2-2 and England win the group – yey!) |

Earlier today it was still working – but only showing the score for Costa Rica – Poland, and not for Ecuador – Germany. So, my guess, is that they figured out they had a bug and couldn't handle concurrent matches, and took it off-line to fix it.

Forgot to mention that via Yahoo and FIFA real time mobile access to games is available. In some cases, only scores.
Mobile Alert Service and Mobile Portals for the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
They also offer Matchcast (real-time info for some mobile phones). http://digbig.com/4jtnh
In the U.S., 4INFO.net is also offering scores and more via SMS http://www.4info.net/worldcup/
Finally, a special World Cup version of the Opera Mini is available. http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/campaign/goal/

This may be off-topic or not, probably depending on some technical details that I am not familiar with, so apologies if it is "OT", but I just thought you guys could do something with this.
Since ages I use Google's advanced search as my browser's homepage: http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en. Now, I also have Bloglines' "quick-subscribe" button in my toolbar. So in order to quickly go to Bloglines, I hit the subscribe button, only to see Bloglines say "No feeds found". Until today that is : now Bloglines does find a feed where you can subscribe to (it now says "You are already subscribed to that blog." when I am on Google's page when hitting the subscription button.)
BL's hyperlink ("Preview This Feed") goes to http://www.bloglines.com/preview?siteid=6011075.
Whose camp is playing the ball here? |

When you search for "FIFA", you get no longer the "live results". But you got an adword : "World Cup Soccer 2006 Live scores, standings & schedules right on your Google homepage. www.google.com/ig/worldcup"... |
