That's great! Un-hip folks like me need a little help with the smiley's and acronyms sometimes. I like it.
They have the uncensored definition of RTFM (!), but they don't include the definition for TTYL (talk to you later).
They also don't have my favorite sneering/smirking smiley
:-^

For acronyms, you should check out acronymfinder.com/ .

I know Gary Price will be upset again, but I must say IAC Search & Media is a big expert in smileys.

This works only in the USA-version of the site: ask.com/?o=312&l=dir

I think it's clever that things like /. work as well: ask.com/web?q=%2F.&qsrc=0& ...
|
|
I have a random comment.
Ask.com uses the most bandwith of any search robot, but I almost NEVER get linked from their search results.
Why do you think that is?

It doest explain UFIA though....

would be even better if they display the emoticon!!

they don't have this:

Jasper: We do have some and are adding more.
Examples: ask.com/web?q=brb&qsrc=0&a ...
ask.com/web?q=imho&qsrc=1& ...
ask.com/web?q=ROTFL&qsrc=1 ...
You'll also see that these results direct link to an article about chat acronyms and NetLingo's dictionary.
