Nope, I'll stick with LMAO on the acronyms thingy.. :)-
More and more foo kinda hits the landscape and we are forgetting how to speak english...or maybe the thumb pushers are evolving a new breed of communction-- the paraidigm within the "socially engineered social networking" is better – IMHO , observed for the "outside"!! |

some of these are good. esp ICSRG (b/c that is definitely how people i know prove they still have internet access when stuff goes weird).
i also love BWPWAP. i propose the pronounciation: bu-WAP-wap (with the last 2 sylables sounding like the 'ap' in apple) |

Hey Phillip.. nice words, I've added them to my internet slang translator at http://www.noslang.com
(well most of them, some of them were already words with other meanings) |

Isn't used in internet specific situations but i had to find a shorter replacement for this during chats (and it happens more and more lately): WSMLACMG – Well Shave My Legs And Call Me Grandpa
BTW, BWPWAP is nice :) |

I rather go for the classics that almost everybody knows and can understand.
An occasional RTFM, IMHO or even BTW can make your position much stronger telling about you that you are not a newbie whereas totally cryptic new ones will rather say you are an elitist nerd. |

Absolutely lovin the Pluto one, that'll stick. Even just saying it without the acronym will do me fine.

I post messages on a sports message board where guys routinely goof on each other. Here are some of ours...
IHIOGA I have it on good authority This is used when you're ridiculing someone who acts as if they have inside access or knowledge. Example: IHIOGA that the sun will rise tomorrow.
FIFY Fixed it for ya. This is used when you edit someone's post to make them look bad. Example: This is used when you kick someone in the ass to make them feel bad. (fify) |

The Onion had a great collection of new chat acronym proposals. My favorites were SWTS (silently weeping to self) and JEOMK (just ejaculated on my keyboard). My friends and I got to saying "jeomk" as its own word (sounds sorta like "bonk"). |

I definately relate to ICSRG, since that's what I often do to check.
I think BWPWAP is funny and great. :) |

That would be "dugg".
Darn. That was totally the one I was going to suggest. :( |
Personman | 17 years ago # |
I really, really like BWPWAP. I think I'll start using that. Some of the others were nice too. |
