Another way to use the GoogleX toolbar is to insert it in the real google.com homepage.

The greasemonkey extension for Firefx allows to do it very simply, if you're not too much of an IE fan.

I wrote the GoogleX script that replaces the actual toolbar of the google national pages (not only google.com but also google.co.uk, google.fr, ...) and it can be freely downloaded at http://bobo12.ifrance.com
