I was looking at that experimental search website put up by Google (www.searchmash.com) and noticed a couple of new features that I hadn't noticed before. First of all, there is a really slick new menu on the right which has image, blog, video and Wikipedia results inside collapsible boxes (love the Wikipedia one).
Second of all, you can collapse the details of the search results, which removes the text blurb from each result, leaving you with the page title and the domain its at. |
This is about two months old :( |
I searched for them...i really did....dam, back to my secret underground lair. |

Time's going too slow :(Where's christmas? |
At the end of Video results it says "no results found" Think they need to sort their search out. Google's turning this into what some people predicted Google would be like, one search lots of results (you can see SOME other searches with out leaving the page) |
Is te suggested search thing new as well. eg. search for Captain Jack [ http://www.searchmash.com/search/Captain+Jack] and you get the first three results for Captain Jack Lyrics as well (sepeated and with the option to do a proper search for them) |
Nice but not really slick, not in Web 2.0 times. The images are scaled badly. The menu is plain show and hide without any fading or something. I still miss the localization. |
