i find this interesting because when the next major satellite update comes around, you'll find this big red marker which may confused Google Earth users to think its really a marker within the software. Or even when planes fly over, i would love to see someone take a picture of this.

Wouldn't it need to be horizontal to be seen in Google Earth or Maps? Still, a nice idea. :)
