I've been in a few wikiwars... strangely enough they've all started when I've corrected a change that an admin had originally made. They'd lock it so that their work stayed.
In once case, I was an expert in the field, having written a book on the topic, and the admin still insisted on using his un-cited stuff over mine. My IP has been banned twice for such incidents.
The other incident, is because the "external links" were only linking to 1 site (which the admin was affiliated with), so I added 4 more (the top 5 google results for the same term)... and apparantley that got me banned. |
Web 3.0 on wikipedia: <<This page has been deleted, and protected to prevent re-creation.>> It seems that it was deleted because it was a <<Vague speculation on a vague idea that doesn't yet exist>> others say it was <<not even very good speculation>>

Don't forget Kazakhstan...Borat fans have done a lot with that page. |
Actually I can edit the "Your Mom" page. And I have no Wikipedia account. Just an anonymous (?) german IP... |
Yes Henning, as I indicated many of the examples Google returns aren't semi-protected or protected anymore... they were though at one time. |
Google was changed to Crapp-O-Mattic for a brief of time on Sunday(I think)... http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/2563/crappomatticwikipediathdb7.png |
I'm not surprised for the wiki page on Heroes (TV). Each time I went on this page it was defaced :-S |
Israel? really? nice....
I guess the on going fight between Israel and most of the Arabic world, makes it (unfortunately) reasonable.
