I disagree. Your list has a lot of "Things That Make You Go Hmmm...", value, and then a delicious aftertaste of subtle humor for those who can identify with it. Speaking for myself, the former is seldom worth my time; the latter always is. A narrative explaining every paragraph, would have completely ruined it. Let your audience fill in the blanks. Respect them.
