yeah that caught me by surprise too.. I thought Baidu had clout and would have captured that space. After-all, CT is a state sponsored unit and preference (I thought) would go to Baidu, given the fact that there is/has been so much of friction between Google and the chinese government.
Maybe its signs that google is playing by their rules and now are getting rewarded.. :)-
