Google Images Censors Too in China

Via Waxy, a B3ta reader caricatures Google China; in the results, you can see several spots strangely “missing” in the images.

While this might seem highly unrealistic, it’s not. Compare the actual results of Google.cn vs Google.com for a search for tiananmen square (Google.cn misses thousands of images, and at the bottom there’s the censorship disclaimer, as usual – on all 3 pages of the results, there is not a single image showing the tanks):
