Isn't there something like Kroogle(Is that the name) for this (Just Wondering) ? |
Think they will combine it with their project hosting page? |
www.krugle.com www.koders.com these are the competition.
Also, Google registered googlecodesearch.com/net/org today... |
was that 9PM PDT or EDT ?? :)- |
The 2 existing code search engines are great, both in their own ways. I'm wondering how Google's is going to be special.
When I do Google searches, I end up finding links to the koders search results in the Google Results. Koders also has a nice plugin for eclipse(A java ide) which is very convenient. |
John Marshall,
What are these two existing code search engines? |
Well...I started it with http://www.google.com/codesearch?hl=en&lr=&q=%22hello+world%22 .Call it just a ritual |
http://www.google.com/codesearch?hl=en&lr=&q=fuck&btnG=Search
hahahah this is funny – programmers have the best language don't they? |
http://www.google.com/codesearch?hl=en&lr=&q=sucks&btnG=Search
common terms – reflecting a programmers daily life with code ;) |
This is cool! Google really have been rolling out a lot of new stuff lately-- I can't wait to see what's next. Have there been rumors of anything going around? |
I also just searched for "i hate"... people are Windows-averse! :) |
Results are also available as an Atom feed:
http://www.google.com/codesearch/feeds/search?q=google
No RSS or JSON output as far as I can tell. Adding an "output=" param doesn't seem to change things...
(Thanks robots.txt!) |
Have you seen merobase.com ?
I like it much more than krugle and the others. |
